With soaring vocals, a killer rhythm section, and horns that hit just right, the music is built to move you, body and soul. Equal parts throwback and right-now, The Gold Souls' sound is tight, vibrant, and impossible not to dance to.
Huney Knuckles
-
Featuring the left-hand keybass wizardry of Kevin Wong alongside the indomitable pocket of Darian Gray (longtime touring drummer for Booker T. Jones), Huney Knuckles continue to cement their reputation as one of the most exciting bands in the Bay Area. Elevated by the lightning-fast, deeply melodic guitar work of Brian Sheu and the world-class firepower of Grammy Award–winning saxophonist Tony Peebles, the group delivers a sound that is both technically fearless and irresistibly groovy. Since making waves locally, Huney Knuckles have expanded their reach nationally and internationally—headlining MOJazz Festival in Columbia, Missouri, releasing a steady stream of collaborative singles with icons like Tony Lindsay and Eddie M, and building a growing audience through their live video series and releases. With a return tour to Japan on the horizon, the band continues to push forward, blending watertight grooves, soulful compositions, and high-energy improvisation into a sound that feels both rooted and forward-thinking.

The Westones
-
The Westones are a powerhouse supergroup from Oakland, fusing heavy soul, deep-pocket funk, and raw R&B into a sound that’s as timeless as it is fresh. Featuring seasoned players who have toured nationally with acts like Dirtwire, Con Brio, Midtown Social, Smoked Out Soul, Afrolicious and The Routine, the band brings a rare mix of chops, chemistry, and grit.
Born in 2024 out of a weekly residency in Oakland, The Westones built their sound in front of a local crowd, honing a groove-driven style that’s equal parts dance party and soul revival. Their shows are fueled by joy and connection—audiences often say one of the best parts of a Westones set is watching how much fun the band is having together on stage. Since then, they’ve recorded their debut EP at Hyde Street Studios in San Francisco, memorized audiences at the legendary Fillmore, Concerts at Commons Beach in Lake Tahoe, and shared bills with heavy-hitters including the New Mastersounds, Joe Marcinek, Robert Randolph and Diggin Dirt.
Already making waves on the festival circuit, in their debut year The Westones performed for music lovers at Joshua Tree Music Festival, Golden Road Gathering and Same Same But Different Festival. With undeniable energy, deep Bay Area roots, and a contagious sense of playfulness, The Westones are quickly carving out their place as one of California’s most exciting new live bands.

Funkways
-
American music artist, Joel Ricci (aka Lucky Brown), writes and records in his tiny forest cabin in the foothills of the North Olympic Mountains on the Olympic peninsula. When called to do so, he assembles and conducts dynamic live public ceremonies/spectacles employing some of the most sought-after Funk and Jazz artists in the Seattle, Washington, area. Via his dozens of self-produced "deep funk" vinyl singles released in Europe over the past two decades, he has been hailed by music mavens worldwide as a deep funk pioneer. His latest live ritual, “Funkways” is an all-original rhythmic endeavor kicking up dust at the crossroads of primitive funk and vernacular jazz. In the words of the artist: “Funkways’ mission is to commemorate, celebrate, and consecrate true soul music as played from the heart, and to engender cultural health by promoting greater neighborhood social cohesion through the ancient practice of collective dance and community voice-raising.
